You Don't Need People

The world is obsessed with having friends or family or a relationship. And then when those people betray you, or when just about anyone treats you like crap, it's really freaking upsetting. Some people get mad, some people get sad, some withdraw, some even get so upset that they start considering suicide. The old "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" saying? That is absolute nonsense. Yeah sure, it doesn't hurt you physically, but it can hurt your heart, mind, and soul, and we all know that those wounds can be a lot harder to heal than most physical ones.
